{"id":11027,"date":"2014-06-30T13:59:07","date_gmt":"2014-06-30T18:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.conservators-converse.org\/?p=11027"},"modified":"2014-06-30T13:59:07","modified_gmt":"2014-06-30T18:59:07","slug":"senior-conservator-textiles-mnm-conservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resources.culturalheritage.org\/conservators-converse\/2014\/06\/30\/senior-conservator-textiles-mnm-conservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Conservator-Textiles, MNM-Conservation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Conservator-Textiles (DCA #061746)<br \/>\nMNM-Conservation, unit of Museum Resources Division<br \/>\n725 Camino Lejo<br \/>\nSanta Fe, NM<br \/>\n87501<br \/>\nThe MNM-Conservation unit invites applicants for our position of Senior Textile Conservator. \u00a0You will join a seven member mixed specialty conservation unit in a full time permanent position. \u00a0MNM-Conservation is a centralized function, part of the larger Museum Resources Division. \u00a0We have two conservation laboratories in Santa Fe, a centralized office and digitization area, and a scientific analysis unit attached to the larger and older laboratory on Museum Hill.<br \/>\nThe conservation unit dates from the mid-70&#8217;s and now cares for the collections and exhibit needs of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Palace of the Governors (oldest continuously occupied building in the continental U.S.)\/the New Mexico History Museum<\/li>\n<li>The New Mexico Museum of Art<\/li>\n<li>The New Mexico Museum of Indian Art and Culture\/Laboratory of Anthropology<\/li>\n<li>The International Folk Art Museum<\/li>\n<li>The Office of Archaeological Studies<\/li>\n<li>The New Mexico Historic Sites (6 open, 2 nascent)<\/li>\n<li>The International Textile Center (now in planning and development stage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Senior Textile Conservator will be responsible for the treatment of a wide variety of textile, costume and related materials.
