Dear Members of AIC,
\nWe would like to inform you about establishment of\u00a0 \u201cICAR \u2013 International Journal of Young Conservators and Restorers of Works of Art\u201d. It was founded at and is supported by the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland.
\nThe international scientific journal “ICAR” is dedicated to students and recent graduates of conservation and restoration of works of art and related disciplines from universities
\nand conservation schools. “ICAR” is the answer to a desire to publish academic research in professional journals, indicated numerous times by students and\u00a0 emerging conservators and restorers.
\nICAR fulfills standards for a professional scientific journal. Papers for publishing will be selected by an international Scientific Council and peer-reviewed. Our aim is to include “ICAR” in the list of high-ranked specialist journals as soon as possible.
\nThe journal “ICAR” is established by young conservators \u2013 for young conservators. We hope that it will become a platform for exchange of thoughts, learning and development for emerging scientists \u2013 conservators and restorers of works of art.
\nThe Call for Papers for the first issue of the Journal is open until the 6th<\/sup> of May 2016
\nWe invite all students and young graduates to submit abstracts of their papers.
\nFurther detailed guidelines about how to publish in \u201cICAR\u201d are available on our website:
