Fellows are fully integrated into the life of The Met and, through weekly gatherings and discussions, take part in research sharing and workshops that explore the inner workings of The Met. Fellows are given a workspace and focused access to research facilities, labs, libraries, collections, and the time and space to think.<br \/>\nPhD candidates, postdoctoral scholars, and senior scientists and researchers are eligible to apply.<br \/>\nJunior fellows are those applicants who have recently completed graduate-level training; senior fellows are well-established professionals with at least eight years of experience in the field and a proven publication record, or those who have their PhD in hand by the deadline date.<br \/>\nJunior fellows work closely with Met staff to receive training on scientific research and conservation practices.
