{"id":16079,"date":"2016-12-02T14:27:50","date_gmt":"2016-12-02T19:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.conservators-converse.org\/?p=16079"},"modified":"2016-12-02T14:27:50","modified_gmt":"2016-12-02T19:27:50","slug":"scholarship-by-the-centro-de-estudios-europa-hispanica-for-the-study-of-spanish-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resources.culturalheritage.org\/conservators-converse\/2016\/12\/02\/scholarship-by-the-centro-de-estudios-europa-hispanica-for-the-study-of-spanish-art\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship: By the Centro de Estudios Europa Hisp\u00e1nica for the Study of Spanish Art"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Closing Date: Monday, January 9, 2017<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Reference: PHD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Courtauld\u00a0is delighted to announce the creation of a\u00a0fully funded doctoral scholarship in Spanish art-historical studies, commencing at The Courtauld Institute in London in the academic year 2017\/2018.<br \/>\nThe scholarship has been created through the generosity of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceeh.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CEEH<\/a>\u00a0(Centro de Estudios Europa Hisp\u00e1nica), in association with ARTES, the Iberian and Latin American Visual Culture Group.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.courtauld.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Courtauld Institute<\/a>\u00a0is one of the world\u2019s leading centers for art-historical research, and the scholarship will cover The Courtauld\u2019s Home\/EU\/International tuition fees for three years (or four if required), together with an annual stipend of \u00a312,000 for living costs and travel.<br \/>\nHOW TO APPLY<br \/>\nApplicants should apply to The Courtauld\u2019s PhD program following the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/courtauld.ac.uk\/study\/phd-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">standard process<\/a>,\u00a0and then submit an application via the Courtauld Scholarship\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/courtauld.ac.uk\/study\/fees-and-funding\/postgraduates\/courtauld-scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">application form<\/a>.<br \/>\nApplicants must demonstrate that Spanish art, architecture, or visual culture forms the focus of their proposed research topic, and are advised to contact\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/courtauld.ac.uk\/study\/academic-staff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prospective supervisors<\/a>\u00a0to discuss research proposals well before the application deadline\u00a0of\u00a0January 9, 2017.<br \/>\nAs a minimum, applicants are expected to hold a postgraduate qualification such as an M.A. or equivalent by the time they begin their doctoral studies, and should have at least reading knowledge in Spanish or Catalan. In the first instance, applicants should send prospective supervisors a CV, sample of written work in English, and a 300-word proposal.
