Lee (FAIA, LEED Fellow) in her article <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/insight.gbig.org\/energy-star-score-for-museums-you-can-manage-what-you-measure\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Energy Star Score for Museums: You can manage what you measure<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u00a0The AIC Sustainability Committee formed ten years ago as the Green Task Force in order to provide resources\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">regarding environmentally sustainable practices <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to the conservation community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Early research topics included LED lighting refinements, revised temperature and relative humidity HVAC set standards, as well as discussions about the conservator\u2019s role (as advocate for the collections) during capital building projects. \u00a0Collaboration with allied professionals, such as architects and engineers, has proven essential.\u00a0 A new phase of assessment has begun with the Museum ENERGY STAR project, which seeks to identify energy use improvements from data provided by museums of all sizes, types, and geographic regions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/insight.gbig.org\/energy-star-score-for-museums-you-can-manage-what-you-measure\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Read further<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on how your museum can take part. &#8211; AIC Sustainability Committee<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cUntil a decade ago, sustainability and museums were rarely spoken in the same sentence,\u201d states architect Joyce S.
