{"id":4229,"date":"2009-01-22T12:24:00","date_gmt":"2009-01-22T17:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.conservators-converse.org\/2009\/01\/call-for-nominations\/"},"modified":"2009-01-22T12:24:00","modified_gmt":"2009-01-22T17:24:00","slug":"call-for-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resources.culturalheritage.org\/conservators-converse\/2009\/01\/22\/call-for-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As our network takes on more and more tasks and\u00a0initiatives, we are beginning to realize that there is need for a more formal leadership structure within the network, which is why we are placing a call out for nominations for the following elected leadership positions:<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elected Positions<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>1) <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Chair:<\/span> serves for one year; serves as a chair emeritus after their one year term is over;\u00a0is a practicing conservator and not a student.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>2) <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Co-Chair:<\/span> serves for one year; rotates automatically into the chair position after the conclusion of their first year as co-chair; is a\u00a0practicing conservator and not a student<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>3) <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Communications Coordinator:<\/span> serves for one year; is a\u00a0practicing conservator and not a student.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Appointed Positions<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In addition, there will be several &#8220;appointed&#8221; leads for the various projects being taken on by the network:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>1. Conservation Training<\/div>\n<div>2. Mentoring Program<\/div>\n<div>3. Angel&#8217;s Project<\/div>\n<div>4. Certification<\/div>\n<div>5. Social Networking<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Advisory Group<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We are looking to establish an Advisory Group made up of\u00a0liaisons\u00a0from the various conservation training programs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Nominations for the elected positions will be collected until <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Thursday February 19th<\/span>. Elections begin on the <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Friday,\u00a0February\u00a020th<\/span> and will close on <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">Friday, March 6th<\/span>.
