The catalyst for bringing the subject to the world\u2019s attention was the Whitney Museum of American Art\u2019s treatment of Douglas Davis\u2019s work, \u201cThe World\u2019s First Collaborative Sentence\u201d.<br \/>\nWhile it is true that a great deal of innovative work is taking place in the field of electronic media, conservators who specialize in other media face exciting challenges too.
