Tonight was one of those times. On lower Fifth Avenue, the Salmagundi Art Club was hosting a program on \u201cInvestigating Authenticity in Art: Scholarship, Scientific Analysis and Connoisseurship\u201d, while on upper Fifth Avenue, the Institute of Fine Arts was hosting a program on \u201cCultural Heritage in Troubled Times: War Damage, Pillaging and Saving the Monuments\u201d. I chose to attend the IFA program.
