IUPAC nomenclature should be used for chemicals that do not have an accepted common name. Please reference the <em>Chicago Manual of Style<\/em>, 16<sup>th<\/sup> edition for any questions not specifically addressed by the Style Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formatting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Single-spaced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Times New Roman, 12-point font<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single space after the period at the end of each sentence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No special Microsoft Word formatting. Please do not use footnotes, embed images, insert page numbers, utilize text boxes, or make use of any automatic citation\/bibliography tools or plugins. Please contact the editors for further information if you intend to submit video clips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Image limit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">20 images for regular session papers<br>10 images for tip session papers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Image formats<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">TIF, JPG, EPS, BMP, DNG, MPEG, and WFV<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Image quality<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Submit images at the highest possible quality <br>Files should be at least 300 dpi at print size (roughly 4 x 6 inches) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Image captions and citations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">All images must have captions with image credits. Credits will be omitted for images by the author(s) unless specifically requested.<br><br>Each figure must be either referred to in the text, &#8220;as seen in figure 3,&#8221; or with a parenthetical citation (fig. 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The caption for the first overall image of an accessioned artwork must contain the following information, as applicable (subsequent captions referring to the same artwork need not repeat all information):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-medium-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fig. 3. You will submit your manuscript and receive the marked up document for review using the Dropbox folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Word document with the text of your paper only (no images), which adheres to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.culturalheritage.org\/docs\/default-source\/publications\/2019-jaic-style-guide.pdf\">2018 JAIC Style Guide<\/a> and the guidelines listed on this site<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Separate image files for each figure in your paper, named using the convention: <em>Smith_fig7.jpg<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/resources.culturalheritage.org\/osg-postprints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2015\/06\/AICAuthorLicenseAgreementFormOSGPP.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">AIC Author License Agreement Form<\/a> signed by the primary author(s)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Permissions and copyright<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their submissions and for the methods and \/ or materials they present. Authors must ensure that they have all necessary permissions to publish the images in their paper. Under a licensing agreement, individual authors retain copyright to their work and extend publication rights to AIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions are due roughly three months after the presentation of your paper, to allow for incorporation of feedback received from the audience. Editing will be done on a rolling basis, with a goal of publishing prior the next annual meeting. Though publications may fall behind schedule, we ask that authors strive to keep to submission deadlines nonetheless.
