Mellon Foundation, the Museum of Modern Art\u2019s Thomas Walther project is an initiative to foster a deeper level of collaboration between photograph conservators and curators. \u00a0The collection consists of over 300 modernist photographs that were accessioned by the museum in 2001. Curators, conservators and scientists have examined this group closely revealing new levels of meaning and scholarly impact.
