The Balnaves Curator of contemporary Australian sculpture position is a graduate internship program created by McClelland in partnership with The Balnaves Foundation.
The position is intended to equip the successful candidate with curatorial expertise; provide extensive experience in the public gallery sector; and foster a successful career in the visual arts. This position contributes to the development and delivery of an innovative and focused program of changing exhibitions and permanent collection displays, and assists with the management of McClelland’s permanent indoor and outdoor collection. Specific to this role in the administration and co-ordination of one of McClelland’s most important biennial projects the Southern Way McClelland Commission.
